Here's my Pinnacle routine: Park at the Visitor Center, go in, say Hi, use the John... then hike out to the Quarry and back. Nice easy warmup with gentle slopes and a couple of good side trails. Then from the Visitor Center, take the Ouachita Trail over to the east parking lot. Up the East Trail, down the West Trail (I prefer going down the west rock face to marker 8, then pick up the regular trail the rest of the way down. Near the bottom is the intersection with the Base Trails... either one is fine. Back to the east parking lot, backtrack to the Visitor Center and you're done. I think the total mileage is maybe 8 miles?

Great for walking and hiking
